Pre-insuring risk inspections are designed to provide insurance companies and insurance agents or brokers with basic information concerning the type of construction and current condition of a home. Ideally the inspection is conducted prior to the issuance or renewal of a policy. This enables an underwriting department to determine whether it is a desirable or undesirable risk according to their standards.
This service utilizes our home inspection and claims adjusting knowledge and experience to discover, report on and rate a myriad of features in a home that are possible predictors of future claims. The plumbing and electrical systems, the roof, health and safety hazards, and other risk factors such as swimming pools, domestic animals and home-based businesses, are just some of the considerations. We input the data into a report format that generates a Risk Desirability Rating (RDR). Photographs of the area(s) of concern accompany the report.
